Key Advantages Over Teams
Feature | Zoom | Teams |
———————– | ————————– | ——————— |
Simultaneous sharing | ✅ 2+ screens | ❌ 1 screen only |
Layout control | ✅ Resize/arrange | ❌ Fixed |
Attendee view | ✅ Side-by-side | ❌ Single stream |
Cost (cheapest plan) | $149.90/yr (Pro) | Free (limited) |
Pro Tips
- Dual-Screen Presenting:
- Monitor 1: Slides (16:9)
- Monitor 2: Demo (Full HD)
- Keyboard Shortcuts:
- `Alt+S` - Start/stop sharing
- `Alt+Shift+S` - Switch shared screens
Limitations
- Requires Zoom 5.8.6+ (2021+) - Enterprise plan needed for:
- More than 2 simultaneous shares
- Advanced attendee layout controls
Tested with Zoom 5.16.7 on 2025-03-31
Upgrade Considerations
1. Pro Plan ($149.90/yr):
- 2 simultaneous shares
- 30 hour meetings
2. Business Plan ($199.90/yr):
- 3 simultaneous shares
- Company branding
Recommendation: Zoom Pro provides the best balance of features vs. cost for professional dual-screen sharing needs.
